Just a cutesy tootesy girl having cutesy tootesy Easter hunt with her cuzzies. 🐣🥰⁣ ⁣ So much happens behind the scenes raising an autistic child. The challenging details of our daily life may seem basic from the outside, but things most kids do naturally are often big milestones for us. ⁣ ⁣ There are many aspects of Luna that make me deeply vulnerable, and social situations are at the top of that list. It brings me infinite joy to watch her spend time with her family without anxiety and dysregulation. She’s developing more ease with to-way conversation and understanding her needs in a new and beautiful ways these days. ⁣ ⁣ I’m lucky to have such a loving and accepting family that makes an effort to include her and simultaneously giving her as much space as she needs. ⁣ ⁣ Feeling grateful to look back on these video clips and see her big heart and bright light shining on!

I’m almost 40 years old. I’m done waiting to do what I want, how I want to. ⁣

I know it’s a cliche you‘ve heard before, but my friends please believe me - ⁣
⁣
𝗪𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐰. ⁣
⁣
That thing that’s been bubbling inside is just below the threshold of what we allow ourselves to reach in the depths of our spirit. ⁣
⁣
The one we’re watching cutesy gen-zers do in our algorithms.⁣
⁣
That’s for us too, babe. ⁣
⁣
I’ve wanted to sing and play the piano since I started voice lessons at age 11. A few months ago I learned only a couple chords and composed a dozen songs at the old out of tune piano in my living room.⁣
⁣
I was invited to play at our island’s International Women’s Day Showcase and said fuck it - I know enough, it’s good enough, I’m doing it. ⁣
⁣
Sitting behind that baby grand with a mic and my music, collaborating with a group of talented women was ELECTRIC. ⁣
⁣
And it’s just the very beginning.⁣
⁣
